“A New Year for Loveand Devotion”

The great command in the Biblehas two parts. We are to love

God with all our being, mind, body, and soul. Jesus said it isbetter to be hot than cold but

never lukewarm. God wants ourtotal devotion to Him. The

second part of this command isto love thy neighbor as thyself. We show our character when

others’ desires become our owndesires for them, and notallowing ourselves to be

judgmental or to try to run otherpeoples lives. Our calling atChristmas is to be loving,

helpful, kind, and caring. This ishow we show love to God, our

neighbor, and others.
