Responsibilities included the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula that focus on student achievement and learning. Current knowledge of National Science Education Standards, the Virginia Science Standards of Learning and national science reform trends are critical for the development of a successful instructional program. The implementation of a rigorous advanced science program required planning, coordination, and evaluation of staff development and training that focused on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
