Introducing Our Feature Horse or Stud

Anyssa Park started 12 years ago, with the purchase of a

miniature pony as company for a thoroughbred mare, who

wouldnt stop pacing the fence line. As the story goes, more

minis moved in, and more and more time was spent playing

with the minis, than was spent riding the Thoroughbreds,

and so, it wasnt too long before the Thoroughbreds moved

out. Funnily, after 13 years of riding, i didnt miss it like I

thought i would. The minis had me besotted, and before

long I had accumulated a small herd.

Many of those horses have since passed, or have moved on to new homes, as I developed my eye for

the type of horse I wanted to concentrate on breeding. When Anyssa Park's first ever filly was born -

I knew I had something special. Anyssa Park Egyptian Fantasy became a very successful (and very

naughty) show horse, and during her 4 year show career, she won 7 National Champion titles,

including halter, futurity and harness. Her foals have all been National Champions, and she is one of

my best producing mares at Anyssa Park.

In 2008 during the Equine Influenza, I purchased a stallion that I had always admired from afar; La

Vista Rowdy Remark. This beautiful stallion was well known in the industry, and had made a real

mark across the country, with his progeny. After many months of waiting for bio-security restrictions

to lift and my being able to bring Rowdy home to NSW, I finally got to bring my beautiful new

stallion home to Anyssa Park. He was an absolute teddy bear, with the sweetest of natures and he

loved both his humans and mares and enjoyed any attention he could get. Sadly, Rowdy was just not

meant to be at Anyssa Park, and in June 2008, we lost him to a tragic paddock accident.

On Valentines Day, in 2009, I imported

my dream stallion. The stunning RFM

Boogermans Ultimate Warrior (Pictured

left in 10yo paddock condition) joined our

stud all the way from Allure Ranch in

Texas USA. It was a long awaited arrival,

and he far exceeded my expectations. He

was so refined, and arabian in type,

movement and presence, that he took my

breath away, and he still does every time I

see him in my paddock. Ultimate Warrior

has produced Champion after Champion,

year after year, including National

Supremes & State Supremes, and Supreme

of Supremes. His trademark that he passes on to his foals is his long hooky neck, strong hip, and

beautiful head, and his foals never fail to impress.

Page 7: MHAA NSW Branch Official Magazine - Summer Edition 2014

6

In the 5 years he has resided at Anyssa Park,

Ultimate Warrior has made my dreams come

true in producing refined, arabian type

miniature horses time and time again. I have

retained many of his daughters including

Anyssa Park Ultimate Majesty (pictured

below), and one beautiful gelding, Anyssa Park

Ultimate Gladiator (pictured right), who is out

of Egyptian Fantasy, and has been retained to

be my daughters show horse.

We have retained an exciting young colt,

Anyssa Park High Roller (Pictured on

magazine front cover) to cross over Ultimate

Warrior's daughters. He will solidify the great

breeding, refinement, type, temperament and colour in our herd. We are excited about the future with

adding this exceptional young stallion to our program.

Anyssa Park remains a small stud, breeding 5-7 foals a year, and each horse getting hands on

attention every day. We breed in the hope of retaining, but of course they cant all stay, and if the

right home arises, then we do sell to homes where our babies will be loved and handled like they are

here.

I show just a few horses each season, as I am a one

person team! Its a bonus when my we come home

with a sash or garland, as I show for the love of it;

the love of the horses, and the love of the company

of horse minded people. I have made many life long

friends in the miniature horse industry. My 2yo

daughter has inherited her mothers passion of all

animals, and this year, she has experienced her first

show ring experience (which she discovered was

just a little more daunting, than the practice she does

at home lol) but quite possibly, Anyssa Park will

become a two person show team in the not too

distant future!

Until then, see you around the shows! Have a Merry

Christmas and a wonderful 2015!
