She started out by recording her music at home producing a six song demo tape using a four track tape machine
After this in 2003, the independent label ‘Showbiz Records’ pressed 500 vinyl singles of ‘Galang’
She became an underground sensation through the rise in popularity of ‘Galang’ and ‘Sunshowers’ in dance clubs and fashion shows also through file sharing and college radio airplay
She began uploading her own music onto Myspace in June 2004 and was eventually signed to XL Records on mid June 2004
