Life History…

• Michael Graves was born on July 9th 1934 in Indianapolis Indiana.

o Michael Received his training at the university of Cincinnati.

o After receiving the degree of Bachelor of science in architecture in 1958, Michael went to Harvard university graduate school of design and received a master of Architecture degree the following year.

accepted a teaching position at

Princeton University. Michael is

now the Schirmer professor of

Architecture at Princeton.

In 2003, an infection of

unknown origin left graves

paralyzed from the waist down.

In 2010 Michael Graves was inducted into the new jersey hall of fame.

Graves has become a household name with his designs for domestic products sold at Target stores in the United States.
