While working at Landscape East & West., I have assisted in numerous residential design/build projects. The Wisemans wanted a modern, Asian-inspired teahouse to compliment their landscape. Using a few different inspirations, I created a high-end teahouse that the clients truly loved.

Highly technical drawings are not needed. The construction details are merely used as a guide by Landscape East & West’s woodworkers. I created multiple versions of the same teahouse in collaboration with the salesperson and clients. In addition to the modern , Asian-inspired structure, the customer wanted an option for a more traditional style. In the same fashion in which I designed the modern teahouse, I took inspiration from quite a few sources to create a more traditional, but still stylish structure.

15th St. Rainwater Issues Analysis (Photoshop)
The 15th Street reconstruction is focused on analyzing the current rainwater drainage issues, then implementing rainwater catchment infrastructure in order to address those issues.
A community member requested a closer look at the existing flooding and drainage problems on 15th Street, a diagrammatic plan of possible solutions, and hypothetical sections of necessary infrastructure.

ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN TRAIL GUIDELINE ILLUSTRATIONSAt the Indiana DNR, one of my tasks was to illustrate the guidelines for citizens interested in implementing trails and greenways into their communities. Each drawing helps each person to better understand what was required of them by the IDNR.

Keep Indianapolis Beautiful is a non for profit that focuses on involving the community in planting trees, creating community gardens, and establishing recycling programs.
While at KIB, I created graphic design for educational materials that were sent to project partners of KIB.
I also helped to select, place, and plant trees in project sites which range from residential to commercial areas, as well as designing small community gardens for various neighborhoods around Indianapolis .
I truly cared about what I accomplished at KIB and what KIB accomplishes every day.

My tour around the world was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that never ceased to take my breath away, and proved to sharpen my skills and abilites as a designer.
While traveling, I had the opportunity to observe how different cultures have solved universal problems in urban and rural settings.
Using these unconventional solutions to solve our conventional problems can possibly allow this country to function successfully.
