    Applications

    The M IC RO M ASTER 410

inverter is suitable for a variety

    of variable-speed drive appli-

    cations.

It is esp ecially suitable for use

w ith pum ps and fans, as a

drive in various sectors, e.g.food, textile and packaging

industries, as w ell as for

    conveyor system s, factory

gate and garag e d oor drives,

and as a universal drive for

    m oving billboards.

It is the ideal low -cost fre-

    quency inverter solution for

    the bottom perform ance

    range of the M IC R O M A STER

    fam ily.

    The inverter is esp ecially

    characterized by its custom er-

oriented perform ance andease of use.

    Versions for connection to

    230-V and 115-V single-phase

netw orks enab le it to be used

    all over the w orld.

    Design

The M IC RO M ASTER 410 has

    a com pact design.

    H eat sinks provide natural

cooling for the inverter. A fan

    unit is not used.

    The position of the connec-

tions has been selected as for

    conventional contactors.

The op erator panel availab le

as an op tion can b e easily

    fitted w ithout requiring any

    tools.

    Line commutating choke

Line com m utating chokes are

used to sm ooth voltage p eaks

or to bridge com m utating

dips. In addition, line com m u-tating chokes red uce the

effects of harm onics on the

inverter and the pow er supply.

If the line im ped ance is < 1% ,

a line com m utating choke

m ust be used in order to

    red uce the current peaks.

    Additional EMC filter,Class B

O btainable for inverters w ith

an internal EM C filter Class A ,

    fram e size C .

W ith this filter, the inverter

com plies w ith the em ission

    stand ard EN 55 011, C lass B.

    The requirem ents are fulfilled

using shielded cables w ith am ax. leng th of 25 m .

    Leakage currents:

    The leakage currents of the

    inverters w ith/w ithout filter

    (internal/external) m ay

    exceed 30 m A . Typical valuesin practice are betw een 10 m A

    and 50 m A . The exact values

    depend on the design, envi-

    ronm ent and cable lengths.

    Interference-free operation

    w ith residual current operated

devices w ith a trigger value of

    30 m A cannot be g uaranteed.

H ow ever, op eration w ith resid-

    ual current op erated devices

    w ith a trigger value of 300 m A

is p ossible. Please refer to the

    Instruction M anual for details.

    Line commutating choke

Line com m utating chokes are

used to sm ooth voltage p eaks

or to bridge com m utating

dips. In addition, line com m u-tating chokes red uce the

effects of harm onics on the

inverter and the pow er supply.

If the line im ped ance is < 1% ,

a line com m utating choke

m ust be used in order to

    red uce the current peaks.

N o lim its are currently defined

    EN 61 000-3-2 standard.

    Output choke

    O utput chokes can be

    supplied for red ucing the

    capacitive currents and dV/d t

in the case of m otor cab les> 50 m (shielded) or

    > 100 m (unshielded).

    Gland plate

G land plates are available for

    inverters w ith fram e size C . In

    fram e sizes D , E and F, the

    gland plates are integrated.

    The gland plate enables

    shielded connection of the

    pow er and control cables,

    ensuring optim um EM C

    perform ance. This action

ensures com pliance w ith theN EM A 1 d irective.
