Fifty years ago, a group of civic-minded gentlemen put Service Above Self and chartered the Rotary Club of Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates. Since then the club has raised over $5 million for its local communities, contributed thousands of hours to hands-on projects and dedicated itself to helping abused children, victims of domestic violence, children in at-risk environments, adults/children with disabilities or Down Syndrome, those in need, seniors, students and adult learners, among others.
