Project Regeneration COMING TO PNK!

What: A program provided by the Presbyterian Foundation that helps congregations address property-related and financial decisions and find meaningful and sustainable ways to create their legacy. VALUABLE TO ALL CHURCHES.

There are 4 separate forums:FORUM I: Taking a clearer look at today's church, nationwide in general, PCUSA in particular. What are the emerging trends? How is your congregation similar or different from these trends? What are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats your congregation faces today? THIS FORUM WAS IN FEBRUARY -- ASSIGNMENT (due March 15th): Complete the Foundation's Financial Assessment online at -- assessment.presbyterianfoundation.org (takes 10 minutes to complete) (If your church was not represented at Forum I, you can still attend Forum II if you complete this assignment by FRIDAY, March 15th)FORUM II: Stewardship trends are reviewed, brief overview of generational giving issues/challenges, review of what the survey results reveal (from the assessment tool completed after Forum I), introduction of congregational life cycle, and review of the ten-year trends of participating congregations. Assign discussion topics for Sessions to consider prior to next gathering. Wednesday, April 10th at Wilson FPC and Thursday, April 11th at Manhattan TrinityFORUM III: Focus on Canoeing the Mountains - What does this analogy of the Corps of Discovery say to local church leadership? Technical vs. adaptive change. Navigating the geography of reality - 3 questions (Who are we? Who is our neighbor? What is God calling us to be/do in today's reality?) Participants are encouraged to return to final Forum with a local case description of their local situation. Monday, May 20th at Manhattan Trinity and Tuesday, May 21st at Wilson FPCFORUM IV: Where Do We Go From Here? Case studies of congregations - remain same, reinvention, merger/nesting or closure. Addressing the elephant - larger building capacity vs. smaller worshipping community. fellowship. What are the options? Wednesday, June 5th at Manhattan Trinity and Thursday, June 6th at Wilson FPC

The Presbytery of Northern Kansas Commission on Ministry is sponsoring this program to help our congregations begin to have these discussions and work toward discovering

options and next steps as they plan for the future of their ministry.

PUT THESE DATES ON YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE THIS A PRIORITY FOR YOUR CONGREGATION.
