EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

FOOD: Coffee and donuts will be available in the morning. There are several restaurants close by, option to go to lunch as a group to those interested. DOGS ON GROUNDS: You are responsible for picking up after your dogs and disposing of waste in proper receptacles. All dogs present must be held on leash or otherwise restricted except when being judged. Under no circumstances will dogs be allowed to disturb the resting stock or interfere outside the arena with another dog’s performance in the arena. Unentered dogs are not allowed in the trial areas.

General InformationDeborah Eckels, The Animal Inn, its owners and agents, Trial Chair, and Secretary assume no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators, exhibitors’ property and their dogs and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. Owners and handlers entering a dog in the Trial do so at their own risk and agree to abide by the most recent version of the AHBA Rules.

DIRECTIONS

From Wilmington & North:Take DE route 1 south to exit 114. Turn left onto route 13 and travel approximately 1 mile to Brenford Rd. There is a traffic light. Turn right at the traffic light. Brenford Rd. crosses route 42 Seven Hickories and then becomes Seeneytown Rd. Take the third driveway on the left after crossing route 42. From the South on DE 1:Exit route 1 at exit 104. Turn right onto route 13 and travel north to route 42. Turn left onto route 42 and travel approximately 3 miles to Seeneytown Rd. on your left and Brenford Rd. on your right. Turn left onto Seeneytown Rd. The third driveway on your left is your destination. From the West (DC and Baltimore):Take route 50 east to 301 north. Turn right at the intersection of 301 and 300. Take 300 to the intersection of route 42. Turn right on 42 and travel about 1 mile to Seeneytown Rd. on your right. Turn right and the third driveway on your left is your destination.

ELIGIBILITY All dogs nine months of age or older are eligible to participate in Herding Trials and JHD. Dogs classified as Herding Dogs in

AHBA are eligible for HERDING TEST (HCT) and may participate at six months of age or older. No dog may be entered in two classes on the same course with the same kind of stock under the same judge at any Test/Trial. Bitches in season shall run in drawn running order without adjustment. IMPORTANT. READ THIS BEFORE SIGNING.

In consideration for participation in an event sanctioned by the American Herding Breed Association (AHBA), I agree to assume all responsibility for any claim, loss or damage, of whatever kind or nature, whether to person or property, which may be caused at or near this event, either directly or indirectly, by me or the dog or dogs I have entered in or brought to this event. I further agree that I will hold the AHBA, its officers, directors, agents and members, Deborah Eckels, The Animal Inn, its owners and agents stock owners harmless and defend them from any and all liability for any injury, claim, damage or loss, of whatever kind or nature, whether to person or property, caused at or near this event, whether directly or indirectly, by me or any dog I have entered in or brought to this event. I agree to indemnify the AHBA, its officers, directors, agents and members, Deborah Eckels, The Animal Inn, its owners and agent and stock owners for any loss, cost or expense including attorneys fees and costs, to which the AHBA, its officers, directors, agents and members, Deborah Eckels, The Animal Inn, its owners and agents and stock owners might be subject as a result of any claim, suit, loss or damage caused in any way by any act or negligence on my part or on the part of any dog or dogs I have entered in or brought to this event. I acknowledge that while the AHBA may provide sanctioning for this event with regard to the issuing of titles, it does not have and does not exercise control over the conduct of the event or those present.

I CERTIFY and represent that the dog or dogs I have entered in or brought to this event is/are not a hazard to other dogs, other animals, or to people.

I CERTIFY that I am the actual owner of the dog or that I am the duly authorized agent of the actual owners whose name I have entered. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the AHBA in effect at the time of this Herding Test or Trial or both, and further agree to be bound by the agreement printed above. The entry is submitted on the foregoing representation and agreement.

I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value of the livestock in the event of injury or death of any livestock caused by my dog or occurring while my dog is being tested or judged in this Herding Test or Trial. I (we) agree to pay the owner of the livestock full market value of the injured animal in the case of serious injury or total cost of any medical care if the injury is deemed slight as determined by the owner of the stock.
