Mr. Malik, President of UNSSA and MEF, attended a
conference organized by Dubai Courts and DP World last October
29th. The conference focused on "Enhancing the Competitiveness
of the Emirati of Dubai Through the Integration of Legal and
Judicial Procedures Relating to the Custody on Ships in the
Ports". The conference was highly informative and was attended

MEF’ 20th ANNIVERSARY
After 20 years of hard work and dedication, we are what we are today:
dynamic, aggressive, and always ready to ride the big waves of the Marine Supply
Industry. It's always good to look back to our humble beginnings. We are but proud
of all the good and bad things that came along the way - all of these defined us and
give us a clear view on how we established our name in this business. We've grown
an awful lot, and we're on our way for more. There's a big reason to celebrate and
spend good times with each other.
The Dubai Desert Safari Adventure held last December 12 was the best treat
for everybody in celebrating our 20th anniversary. We all enjoyed the magical and
memorable fun and thrill in desert dune bashing, sand boarding, henna painting,
Hubbly Bubbly( Sheesha ), belly and Arabic traditional dancing Shows, dinner buf-
fet, camel rides, and many more.
We all had a good time spending quality time with our dear colleagues. It
was a real blast. It was the perfect occasion for all of us to realize and treasure all the
milestones we have achieved.
Together we continually work hard, aim high, and thrive further!

THAILAND GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2013
The UAE National Golf Team had attended the 2013 Golf Championship held in
Thailand last November 12th. It is of great pride and honor that Mr. Malik was part of the
team that competed with other different nations in this tournament.
Congratulations Mr. Malik! More Birdies and Eagles to come!!
DOING SOMETHING SPECIAL
“BLOOD DONATION”
A good number of MEF staff bravely faced their fears of needles/syringes, and volunteered to donate blood last October 29th. This is part of the company's annual participation in Dubai's Blood Donation Campaign and part of MEF’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. Every bag of blood donated could help save lives - a newborn baby, an accident victim, a person undergoing surgery, and other patients with severe illnesses. It may only be a small bag but it's already a life-line for other people. Thanks to all the donors, be proud of yourselves, you just did something really special.

BURJUMAN PINK WALKATHON
Part of Burjuman's Safe and Sound campaign to raise awareness for breast cancer is the Pink Walkathon. This annual walk is an extraordinary gathering calling everyone to come together and support the fight against breast cancer.
Last November 1st, MEF took part in this event and some of our staff joined
wearing pink outfit to beat breast cancer.

The Warehouse Department finally pulled it this time getting the award for the month of No-vember, with almost all the members being able to take part in the task.

Easy to Swallow?
My sister, Paula, and her husband, Chris, had just finished tucking their young ones into bed one evening when they heard crying coming from the children's room. Rushing in, they found Tommy crying hysterically.
He had accidentally swallowed a 5p piece and was sure he was going to die. No amount of talking could change his mind. Trying to calm him, Chris palmed a 5p coin that he happened to have in his pocket and pretended to rid from Tommy's ear. Tommy, naturally, was delighted. In a flash, he snatched it from his father's hand, swallowed it and demanded cheerfully - 'Do it again, Dad!'

50 Dollars is 50 Dollars
Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year, and every year
Morris would say, 'Esther, I'd like to ride in that helicopter. 'Esther always
replied, 'I know Morris, but that helicopter ride is 50 dollars and 50 dollars
is 50 dollars.'
One year Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said, 'Esther I'm 85
years old. if I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance.'
Esther replied, 'Morris that helicopter is 50 dollars and 50 dollars is 50 dol-
lars.' The pilot over heard the couple and said, 'folks I'll make you a deal.
I'll take the both of you for a ride; if you can stay quiet for the entire ride
and not say a word I won't charge you! but if you say one word, it's 50 dol-
lars.'
Morris and Esther agreed and up they went. the pilot did all kinds of fancy
maneuvers, but not a word was heard. he did his dare devil tricks over and
over again, but still not a word. When they landed, the pilot turned to Morris
and said, 'by golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you
didn't . I'm impressed!'
