Vacation Bible School LeadershipJune 10 – 14, 2013 | 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

It’s time to raise your hands in the air—vBS 2013 is a roller coaster of excitement you do not want to miss! Through every twist, turn, and dive, Colossal Coaster World’s directors and teachers will get to challenge kids to face their fears and trust God. With excitement around every curve, kids will learn that God has given them a spirit of power, love, and sound judgment. This vBS is going to be the ultimate ride. Leaders, teachers, and volunteers are needed for all ages and stages—from the staff nursery to vBX preteens.

And mark your calendars:

VBS Leadership Lunch and training will be held on Sunday, April 28.

If you would like to teach Vacation Bible School this year, please contact Marissa Moore at [email protected].

March CollectionWhat a great ministry we have for women in The Next Door! Its incredible impact and growth amaze us all. One of the small ways that we help is through a collection once a year of needed items. Suggestions include deodorant, toothbrushes, towels, washcloths and umbrellas. Bring your items and deposit them in the collection bins at the Main Entrances.

Spring Cleaning Cancelled The Spring Cleaning day planned for Saturday, March 23, has been cancelled. We encourage all Sunday School teachers and leaders to clean Sunday School areas as they are able to. Stay tuned for a future cleaning day!

Worship Care Volunteers NeededOur nursery is growing, and it is time for us to add another classroom for our little ones that have turned one. God has answered our prayer with amazing Sunday School teachers ready to lead! However, we need to add at least 16 volunteers to teach during the Worship hour once every other month through August. Help us meet this need by making this opportunity to serve known in your circles. If you are not serving in our Nursery on Sunday mornings, consider volunteering. We can begin the volunteer screening process ASAP. Our goal is to be ready for this room to open by Easter. If you’d like to volunteer your time singing songs, playing games, and teaching preschoolers about Jesus, please contact Mary Bunn at [email protected].

Harvest HandsAre you aware that our Student Ministry volunteers with Harvest Hands and Preston Taylor Ministries (PTM) in their after-school care programs? We currently have a few students volunteering in each location, but we need 6 – 12 volunteers each Wednesday afternoon from 4 – 6 p.m. until the end of the school year.
