Reaching the overview

The route along the Roman Merida, from the banks of the river to the Roman theat-er. A journey valong history that culminates in the historical period following the Visigothic art museum. Such travel requieres a unique building, a walk over the existing ruins perched on the horizon of Merida, giving the visitor differ-ents points of view

Housing a hill

Athens has grown over its history by horizontal planes to determine the most notorious of them: Piraeus, the Acropolis. The surrondings terrain is offered us the opportunity to give a unique character to the building housing the museum one of the great legacies of this city as the Olympic museum. Instead of building on the hill that is done is to clear a part of itself that is opening to the outside providing light, visual and natural vetilation to Athens all concatenated by a large central void.

Approximation

According to the classification Köpen-Geiger, the climate in Porto is Mediter-ranean Csb. This implies moderate temperatures throughout the year, rarely de-scending to 0 º C in the coldest month, and with an average daily temperature does not exceed 22 º C in the warm seasons. Its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean results in an annual average relative humidity of 78%. Another illuminating fact of the climatic condition of Porto is the rainfall rate: it rains more than for-ty per cent of the days of the year. We need a cave, a low-cost cave! Make more with less as possible!

Stiching river fronts

Urban action on the banks of the Manzanares river in Madrid, where it is cur-rently the Vicente Calderon stadium is located. Urban intervention to sew both sides of the river in order to extend the “kernel Madrid” beyond natural limits is achieved with the implementation of a complex device, which contains private and social housing, that sits on the terraces whitch house certain facilities.

A Cheese with personality requieres a Building with character

The special use of a “Schaukäserei” (show cheese dairy) requires an emblematic object between the boxes of the modern warehous-es and the expected boxes of future office buildings south of “Stadthafen 1”.
