What once started in 1992 out of a garage is now an international business with manufacturing and distribution facilities in four different countries. Leapers, Inc. develops, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of practically innovative hunting and shooting sports oriented products. After 29 years of hard work and dedication, our company headquarters consists of a 3-building complex with over 150,000 square feet of space located in Livonia, Michigan. Fully equipped and staffed to accomplish our very own in-house product design, development, manufacturing, order fulfillment and distribution, our UTG® and UTG PRO® brands have gained wide spread recognition with a loyal customer base around the globe. We continue to dedicate our efforts to promote and uphold the hunting and shooting sports lifestyle.

An eclectic team of dedicated electrical, mechanical and industrial engineers is assigned to each individual product category to include: optics, dot sights, mounting systems, bipods, and more.

concePtual designDesigned and certified in Michigan, over 700 products and counting are put through our vigorous product roadmap where complete product solutions and market segment considerations such as product enhancements, series determination, feature sets, and variety demand are all intricately mapped out. Rapid prototyping, industrial-grade 3D printing, and rendering confirm or deny product concept iterations and their validity and usefulness early on and with precise accuracy. Individual product feature testing reveals areas of improvement and ensures areas of stress are reinforced to ensuring the value found in the longevity of a product is met. Research is conducted on the latest in electronic components, machining and molding materials.

thorough torture testingA battery of testing procedures to include: live-fire, simulated shock, temperature extremity, drop testing, and salt spray corrosion testing are used early on in our product’s development. Determining when and where things go wrong and at what limits, allow us to take the necessary measures to ensure designs are accommodated, changes are accounted for, and products are reliably reinforced before reaching our customers. Strictly scheduled quality control inspections, tight tolerances, precise machining, and industry standard finishes keep our products at the ready for the everyday shooter.

Product Quality ValidationBeyond torture testing, every product at the production level undergoes quality validation before being boxed up and ready to ship using advanced equipment like the Leitz and Zeiss automated coordinate measuring machines (CMM), optical collimators, and more. Validation requires stringent quality control measures that ensure products are to the correct specifications and includes testing for critical dimensional tolerances, screw thread integrity, overall product function, optical resolution, contrast, and focus, and parts fitment and installation.

Research, analytical, thoughtful, and thorough product considerations is behind every one of our products. We cater to our consumers every year, basing each and every one of our products off of their feedback. UTG PRO® USA MAnUfAcTURinG cenTeRLeapers, Inc. started the UTG PRO® line of Made in USA products in 2009. Since then, our manufacturing operations equipped with industry-leading aerospace grade MAZAK CNC machines and advanced RoboShot polymer injection molding machines produce quality USA made products and OEM parts to consumers and manufacturers on a daily basis. A dedicated part of our manufacturing space implements our fully in-house Cerakote® finishing facility, as well as, our Miyano 9-axis CNC Super Turning Centers to extend our capabilities towards providing additional opportunities to our business partners looking for an end-all manufacturer. The growing popularity of our UTG PRO® products continues to fuel our commitment to provide consumers with USA made products that compete at every level. UTG® TAiwAn MAnUfAcTURinG cenTeREquipped with world class Japanese Fanuc and Brother CNC machines, Tsugami 6-axis Swiss machines, Fanuc polymer injection molding, and Fanuc and Yushin automated robotics UTG Taiwan, with its world-class automated manufacturing operations, answers the international demand for quality shooting sports products. In addition, to ensure industrial and mil-spec standards, the facility is equipped with German precision inspection and testing equipment for executing stringent quality control testing, validation, and certification requirements. Product manufacturing includes a unique range of high quality mounts, sights, magazines, OEM components, and a line of integrated optics.

UTG® chinA MAnUfAcTURinG cenTeRThe UTG® business philosophy is complete vertical integration. In the past 2 decades, we have consolidated our overseas operations into a wholly owned subsidiary with R&D engineering, manufacturing, and production guided by UTG® quality control and management. To date, our overseas operations have the sophisticated technical equipment required for light/laser production, specialized dust-free rooms for optics assembly, automated CNC machines for a wide variety of metal parts production and more. When buying UTG® products, you are not buying any sub-contractors’ products from unknown sources. You are getting US designed products made from UTG® controlled manufacturing processes, technical assistance, and customer support.

In total as of 2020, Leapers, Inc. is equipped globally with over 160 turn and mill, CNC, milling, Lathe, and injection-molding machines total. Having this level of machining capability and capacity produces not only quality products set to the strictest of standards, but quality products at quantity.
