The shelters are shielded and soundproof, designed for housing Video Tele-Conferencing equipment and are approved by NSM (Norwegian

National Security Authority)

1. Shelter size ISO 20’ 1CC with ISO aluminium corner castings and forklift pockets.

2. Technical room where ECU, Load Centre 400/230VAC, Patch Panel for Fibre Network etc. are installed.

3. VTC-room with internal power and fibre network distribution system, air con-ditioning, lights, conference table, space for VTC equipment etc.

4. Environmental Control Units (ECU). It is capable of controlling the interior temperature to comfortable levels, for an outside ambient tem-perature of up to 50°C.

5. Air handling unit to supply fresh air inside the shelter. This unit is equipped with filters and 3 kW heating elements.

6. Input/Output panel for Power and Fibre Network.

The Lightweight Expandable Sandwich Shelters are designed and fulfil requirements according to ISO 1496 1C 20 ft. container and they are approved by GL.

The shelters are supplied with silent 12KVA diesel generator and double HVAC systems. Each system fulfil the requirements according to STANAG 2895 climatic zone A1-C1. The shelters meet most relevant MIL-STD, Stanag-, DIN- and ISO standards.

New designed Expandable Lightweight Sandwich Shelters have ful-filled FAT, obtained CSC certificate according to ISO 1496 1C.

The shelters are supplied with silent diesel generator, heating, ventilation and light-ing. All functions can be operated on either 230 VAC or by 24VDC power system which also is supplied.

TAM’s shelter type-72STS-CF is a part in the new advanced program for rapid deployment.

One side is manually expandable.

The shelters are designed for wash-ing and desalination of parachutes. The roof can be lifted off and spe-cial handling bags are used for safe operating between inside washing tubs.

The oldest versions have been in service nearly 30 years. The shelters contain several special features and are a result of close cooperation with the end users. The shelters are designed for all kinds of transport including sling load. Several options are available. The shelters are produced in high quality self supporting glued lightweight sandwich material.

TAM AS has produced a lager quantity of the shelters type 63000 (S-250) special designed for the military vehicle HMMWV (M1113 shelter carrier),

with focus on extreme hot climate and low noise level. TAM AS has taken forward a silent power generator to meet higher requirements for ambient temperature and low noise. The generator set is mounted on slides for easy access and mainte-nance. The shelters are delivered as a multi purpose version and are designed

for easy and rapid change to differ-ent communication variants. The shelters are produced in own designed, high quality, insulated, self supporting glued sandwich material, which gives the shelters advanced features as low weight, good insulation, high strength and almost none maintenance cost.

TAM AS has develop and pro-duced several versions of 3 x 1 and even 3,5 x 1 Expandable Mobile Communication Centre. This shelter is primarily designed to meet the Hock lift System according to DIN 30722, but it also meet require-ments according to ISO 20 feet container handling systems. In expanded condition the shelter has: One big cell with working places for

6 people. One cell on left hand side which is

used as store- and bedroom. One cell at the rear which is used as

entryway to the shelter The shelter is equipped with AC/DC, fibre optics, inverter air-condition, complex network and electrical instal-lation. This shelters meets all requirements to Rapid Deployment. Two people estab-lish the Communication Centre is within 5 minutes.

Incorporated hydraulic jack legs are used for levelling the shelter.

At the end of year 2000 TAM AS signed a contract to develop and produce of a new type of expandable 20’ communication shelters in collaboration with NODECA. The shelter should meet NODECA’s demand with advanced shelters features and large room capacity when operating. To day these shelters are available also in 3x1 and 3,5x1 expandable versions.

MILITARY SHELTER Sattelite Communications

Early January 2002 TAM AS was asked by our client FLO/IKT to participate making the impossible possible. A large complicated satellite

communication system should meet new requirements for rapid deployment, – easy transport, - no foundation, - safe and fast erection and quick securing, - done by 2-3 persons within a few hours.

April 2002 on site (international operations) The ”impossible” was made possible - no fundation and erection within 4 hours !

The whole shelter is made in high quality lightweight sandwich material designed and produced by TAM AS A thanks to FLO/IKT fore excellent leadership and all other collaborators involved in the project and thank you for choosing us as shelters manufacture !!
