INTRODUCTION Military technology in the Middle Ages was very advanced, and without it, some of the most important wars, like the Crusades, could not have been fought. There were many different types of weapons and armors.

Military technology in the Middle Ages was very advanced and it also was very important because wars were a big part of the Middle Ages and wars help to develop. For example, The Crusades were wars that expanded trade between Europe and the Middle East. Cities gained a lot of money from the Crusades and without military technology they could not have been fought.

WHY WAS IT IMPORTANT?

DIFFICULTIESSome of the difficulties that military technology had during the Middle Ages were the dark ages. In the dark ages there were no advancements in science, math and military technology could not develop.

Military technology in the Middle Ages accomplished many things like important wars being fought, and trade and commerce expanding.

WHAT IT ACCOMPLISHED

Medieval military technology has a big impact on our lifes because wars in the Middle Ages could not have been fought without it and some wars like The Crusades helped development of trade and the economy grew so the cities would be richer.

LONGSWORD It is a type of European sword made for two-handed use. It has a blade of around 100-120 cm. It was found throughout the High Middle Ages.

BATTLE AXE A battle axe is an axe made specially for combat. They were usually two-handed weapons because they were heavy. They were used for damaging stronger armor like plate armor.

CROSSBOW A crossbow is a medieval weapon. It is a bow mounted on a stock. It shoots bolts.

LONGBOW It was mostly used by the English in the Middle Ages. It is longer than a normal bow. It was used in the Hundred Years War.

CHAINMAIL Chainmail is a type of armor made of small metal rings linked together. It is still used today for cut-resistant gloves and shark-resistant wetsuits.

PLATE ARMOR It is a type of armor made from iron or steel plates. It developed during the Late Middle Ages. The armor was very strong and it defended from swords. It was also used throughout the Renaissance.

SPEAR A spear is a weapon made up of wood, and a pointy head, usually made of metal. It was used in the Middle Ages for hunting and also for fighting.

CONCLUSION In conclusion, military technology in the Middle Ages was advanced and without it some of the most important events in Medieval times, like The Crusades wouldn´t had happened and we would not be so developed.
