Heritage Art Show
Tonight’s the night! Our annual art show is on tonight at the Community Centre in Blayney starting at 6pm with presentation
starting at 6.30pm.
There is lots of wonderful student artwork on
display and the artworks completed with our visiting artist Dean
Mobbs, look fantastic.
The choir had a great rehearsal yesterday and
were sounding wonderful.
The band were hard at work today perfecting their pieces for tonight’s
performance.
Choir performers are to wear full school uniform. Band students will come home today with a black performaing t shirt and
are to wear black pants or
skirt.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you there
tonight.
Canteen
Don’t forget canteen orders for this Friday are
due back to the school office by Wednesday. Thank you.
Traffic Survey
As part of the planning process for our school upgrade, we are reviewing the traffic and parking conditions around the school. In order to assist with this process we kindly ask that you please
complete the survey for your child’s journey to and from school on Wednesday 27 November 2019. If you cannot recall exact details of your child’s journey on Wednesday 27 November 2019, please base your responses on the most
recent typical school day.
The survey can be
accessed using the
following link:
https://arcg.is/njCTW
Thank you for your
assistance in this process.
Leadership Speeches for 2020
Our leader’s assembly will be held on Monday 2nd December, in the hall. We will move directly into the hall for speeches after morning lines. Leaders speeches will commence at 9.15am. Year 5 students who wish to be in the
running for one of our school leadership positions including house captains are required to give a short speech at the assembly outlining why they would
be good leaders. Voting will be held after the
speeches.
Scripture and Ethics
This Thursday is the final scripture and ethics lesson for 2019. There will be a combined scripture service in the hall at 11.30am and combined Ethics lessons
held at the same time.
Unpaid School Fees
Notes are going home this week regarding any unpaid fees and band fees which are now due. Please finalise payment of these fees as soon as you are able.
Band Scholarships
Applications went home this week to band members about the P&C’s generous scholarship that they provide each year to support our band
program.
Please make sure that you have the application back to school by next Wednesday so we can
look at them in the P&C meeting. If your child has not yet started band but is looking to do so in 2020, you are still eligible to apply for the scholarship . Please see
the front office for details.
Millthorpe Markets
The Millthorpe Markets are on again this weekend. Thank you to all those who have
volunteered their time to support the Market’s
Committee and our P&C.
