MUHS STATE LEVEL RESEARCH CONFERENCE
“RESEARCH is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose”
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of MIMER Medical College thank MUHS for selecting our
institute as a centre for the presentation of research projects to be undertaken by undergraduate
students. MUHS STATE LEVEL RESEARCH CONFERENCE was held on 14th March 2019 at Sushrut Hall
(New OPD complex). We were glad to host this event. This event was organized by Dr. Derek D’souza
and convener was Dr. Vaishali Korde. Pro. VC MUHS Dr. Mohan Khamgaonkar was the chief guest for the
event.
Around 30 projects were discussed of which 4 were completed projects. Students from all over
Maharashtra along with their faculty participated in this novel venture by MUHS. Many unique projects
were discussed and analysed by judges from Armed Forces Medical College, Smt. Kashibai Navale
Medical College and MIMER Medical College. Lot of inputs from judges was enlightening to the students
and guides.
1 long term research project and 11 short term research projects were discussed from our department
in the conference and all were appreciated by the judges.

The performance of the students and all the guides was commendable. Creativity requires input and
that’s what research is, thus the effort of all the guides was shown by the successful presentation by
their respective students. AISHWARYA INGOLE bagged second prize for the presentation.
