Our Speakers
Jenny Salt
Jenny is Dean of Students, responsible for the pastoral care of students at SMBC and has been serving at college for the last 23 years. She loves seeing women grow in their understanding of the gospel, and to that end, teaching and preaching to women and equipping others to do the same.
Before SMBC, Jenny worked as a registered nurse in a Sydney hospital for a few years and then took to the skies as a flight attendant with Qantas. Apart from a continued love of travel, Jenny loves spending time with her extended family and meeting friends for an early morning walk and breakfast.
Ray Galea
Ray is married to Sandy and they have three children and three grandchildren.
He pastors MBM Rooty Hill Anglican. It’s a church with 70 different cultures in the multicultural west of Sydney.
Prior to going to Moore College Ray worked as a Social Worker in Wollongong for 3 years.
He loves Jesus, his family, MBM, reading, eating Middle Eastern and Thai food, listening to Dylan, and Chisel and is a Dragons tragic supporter.
Sandy Galea
Sandy is the Lead Children’s Minister at MBM (Multicultural Bible Ministry) in Western Sydney. She partners with others involved in children’s ministry by equipping them through training seminars, one-to-one consultancy and the resources available on her web site Kidswise.
Sandy is a wife, mother and grandmother (what a great privilege!).

Bible Reading 1 Peter 4:1-11 - Living for God
4 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin. 2As a result, he does not live the rest of his earthly life for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God. 3For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. 5But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to men in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.
7The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 11If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

MU SYDNEY 2020 PROJECT This project aims to provide iPads for Indigenous students at NUNGALINYA COLLEGE to help with their literacy and numeracy courses, and their study of Scriptural passages.
Nungalinya is a Combined Churches Training College for Indigenous Australians. The College is situated in Casuarina, a suburb of Darwin in the Northern Territory.
For many years the College has been designing their own website and apps using iPads to assist students with their digital literacy and their study of Scriptural passages.
The original iPads have become unusable and 20 new iPads are required to continue with the training of the indigenous students, some of whom go from Foundation Studies through to obtain a Certificate III or IV in Ministry and Theology
MU Sydney is raising funds to support the purchase of the new iPads as our 2020 Project.
Please donate online at www.musydney.org. au/nungalinya/
