December 1-2, 2010The Hilton Atlanta, Atlanta, GA, United States

AMI is pleased to announce the program for the AMI international conference on Minerals in Compounding 2010, to be held December 1-2, 2010 at The Hilton Atlanta, Atlanta, GA.

Minerals and other particulate materials used in plastics represent a multi-billion dollar industry that continues to grow year after year. The wide adoption and steady growth of these materials is due to the tremendous spectrum of properties that they bring. By judicious use of such additives, one can achieve mechanical, electrical, thermal, color and optical performance far beyond that achievable using polymer alone. Not only that, but they offer a cost-effective way to reach those properties.

This conference is the ideal opportunity to review the latest developments in minerals as traditional fillers, additives and pigments, and to learn about new specialty filler types. The effects of processing conditions will be presented as will the vital role of compound formulation including dispersants, coupling agents and stabilizers. In short, the very strong program provides everything you need to make better products and obtain an edge over your competitors.

There is no one ideal material that works well in every situation. Designing good materials means knowing the pros and cons that each type of particulate additive brings. Rather than emphasizing the theoretical and academic aspects of composite materials, this conference concentrates on the real-world optimization and use of compounds to meet the demands of applications in sectors ranging from packaging, automotive, appliance, building and electronics to aerospace.

Just as important as the technical side, is the opportunity to meet customers, suppliers and consultants so you can create the relationships and partnerships needed to be competitive both now and in the future. Minerals in Compounding 2010 includes networking opportunities and an atmosphere conducive to meeting new people and developing relationships. The Atlanta venue is easy to reach and surrounded by plastics and minerals industry, so you can combine your trip with customer visits. So the only thing left is to book your place now.

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION OFFERRegister before October 22nd and save $190. There are additional discounts for group bookings. The registration fee includes attendance at all conference sessions, the cocktail reception, lunch and refreshment breaks on both days, and a set of conference proceedings.
