MINI TRAGEDY AND GREEK MASKS

Small group project

PRODUCT

Write a brief play including ALL characters from

your acting company and the elements of tragedy.

Write one script. I will make copies for the acting

company.

Perform the play using the masks.

See the rubric for guidelines.

Include several of the following:• A tragic hero• A tragic flaw/s• Death or ruin of the tragic hero• Complications• Conflict• Intervention from the gods• Fate

PROCESS

Work together to create the dialogue and plot for

the mini tragedy.

Assign props, costumes, set pieces.

Rehearse your play out loud.

Be ready on the performance dates.

The play should have a beginning, middle and an

end. It should make sense.
