Artist Statement

Photography is no stranger to me. When I was a child, I was in touched with the film with my parents . Until a few years ago, I owned my first digital camera , and now, with the popularity of smart phones. I am actually no stranger to photography . The concept of photography, to me, is a function of recording. To record the details of daily life , and other important moments . But since I was in touched with the professional cameras, some photo-editing software , coupled with the excessive photography courses , I have been a change in the concept of photography : photography from a simple recording function, becomes an art. Upon being in touched with professional digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras, I found that photography could be divided into aperture , shutter , ISO. Also aperture, shutter speed , ISO is precisely the effects of camera receives light quantity standards. After that I knew that when I take photos , I can press my preferences to control the amount of light received by the camera , for example, I can truthfully record what I see, I can stop a moving moment, etc. When contacted some photo-editing software, I can make up for my photos’ defects, can change the color of pictures , light and dark , even design graphics on photos. So I can change the pictures’ quality.

Besides, there are so many photographic techniques in taking photos. Excepts how to control the light receive, I have to compose the picture. The importance of composition is let people feel comfortable when seeing the picture, let the main object more outstanding. It is also important to let people associate the story of the picture, even inspire the viewers. Photography is an art. It is also a technology. there are many possibilities which are waiting for me to explore.
