Nurse’s Ministry Emergency Medical Response Team (EMRT)

The purpose of the Nurse’s Ministry - Emergency Medical Response Team (EMRT) is to provide first aid, a caring presence, a listening ear and spiritual support to the church congregation.

Our mission is to reflect God’s love through professional, physical and personal caring as a fulfillment of the biblical mandate set by the precedence of the ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

Scripture

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 Definitions

• Love: Agape – A spiritual, unconditional tenderness for someone. It is spiritual in nature.

• Joy: A condition or feeling of great pleasure or happiness; delight.

• Peace: Inner contentment; serenity.

• Longsuffering: Patiently enduring difficulties.

• Gentleness: Considerate or kindly in disposition; To easily manage or handle.

• Goodness: High quality; excellent condition; valid; true; obedient; well behaved.

• Faith: A confident belief in the truth, value or trustworthiness of something; belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence.

• Meekness: Showing patience and humility; submissive.

• Temperance: Self-control; exercising moderation and self-discipline.

Spiritual Food for Thought:

• Treasure the golden attributes of God by portraying the “Fruits of His Spirit” through the divine work of the Holy Ghost. (Galatians 2:20 & ST. John 15:15)

• The “goodness” that you exhibit in your Christian walk will reflect the greatness of God’s presence in your life. (Psalm 23:6)

• “Faith” it or fake it! It’s your choice! “Faith” brings the answer to reality. Faking deactivitates your faith in God. (Hebrews 11: 1 & 6)

• Your response to life’s circumstances should be self-controlled, meek and mild. (Titus 3:2 & Isaiah 29:19)
