Book Swappers
A new group is forming which will meet the 1st
Monday night of the month at a member's home. The
first meeting will be at the home of Elaine Segarra 5/4
at 7pm.
The hostess will provide a light dessert and
refreshment. This is a fun way to share reading
material without having to buy a book or check it out at
a library. Totally free. We prefer to not have a
structured reading assignment each month. Articles of
interest can also be shared with the group.
For more details contact Elaine at
[email protected] or 704-502-3767. Hope to
see some new faces from the club
Off- shoot Activities
Mexican Train is going full steam ahead with a fun group of girls.
The group meets the 3rd Monday, 1 to 3:30 pm at a member's home.
Just bring an appetizer to share and the hostess provides drinks. For
more information contact Elaine Segarra at 704-502-3767.
[email protected]. The next game is May 18. See you there!

Summer "Meetings"
Last summer, we experimented with continuing
"meetings" over the summer. Those attending these informal,
fun gathering brought their favorite board game and a snack or
nibble to share. Each brought their own beverage.
They were held at the usual date & location, MH Town
Hall, 2nd Monday between 6:30 - 9 pm (whenever one
wanted to come). Some played games, such as Mexican Train
Dominoes, Rummekub, Hand & Foot, others just dropped in to
chat and socialize.
Due to Town Hall requirements of utilizing the space for a
"meeting", the President (or other Board member) would hold
a brief meeting to update those in attendance of upcoming
club happenings.
This was so much fun, the Board has decided to continue
again this Summer. Gather your game group and "come on by"
to the first Summer Fun meeting, Monday, June 8
Summer Activities
Summer Team Leader(s) are still needed to coordinate
where you would like to go for Lunch Bunch and perhaps a field
trip or Personal Enrichment activity.
Instead of being a 3 month leader would you consider
taking charge for June, July or August?
Please let Carol Hull know if you will coordinate activities
for one summer month.

Important to Note
Tina Ross shared a message from Town Hall. "There must
be awareness that by posting on front door access code, there is
a risk of having "anyone" use that code to gain access to the
premises".
Going forward, we will no longer post the code. Please see it
above and make a note, as it does not change from month to
month.
