Presentations

1. Epralima presentation on Dissemination approach

Daniel presented the official Website and facebook page:

Website was approved by all partners, but everyone agreed that it is important not only to share the site more often, but also to provide links of existing organizations within each partner country or links of other sites that provide good examples, videos, etc.;

According to the application, each partner should have an individual Facebook page to administer in their country and in their language, but Epralima (partner responsible for dissemination) does not agree due to the fact that this makes dissemination control very confusing and difficult;

Therefore, Daniel proposed that an official Facebook page could exist, in which this page contain links to other non-official pages – branches from the main page, which each partner administers and is responsible for the information;

In addition to the Facebook page, Aferdite proposed to create Instagram and Twitter pages, and all partners agreed. Daniel confirmed the possibility of creating these pages and agreed to help create them and give instructions on how to develop and update them with information.

Despite the fact that all partners agreed on this as a solution, Aferdite has to confirm this possibility with the Italian National Agency and will get back to all partners with an answer, as soon as possible.

Natália spoke about the need to decide on Promotional material:

Since there is no specific budget for promotional material in the general budget, during the Kick-off meeting in Italy, all partners agreed upon contributing with a small amount (1.000,00€ divided between the partnership) for the purchase of promotional material, such as: pens, pencils, bags, etc.

Therefore, all partners agreed to check the prices of these materials in their countries and provide all partners with a budget (cost per unit) so that the partnership can decide on the item, country of production and quantity;

The partnership also decided that the budgets should be based on the following items: Pens; Bags; Key-chains; Bookmarkers; Pencils; Bracelets; T-shirts or other promotional items that are considered good marketing products;

It was also decided that this material should be distributed at the Staff Training Events and Blended Learning Events;

In reference to the Newsletters, Epralima will create a layout/template (probably through mail chimp), but each partner is responsible for the dissemination of the newsletter (partner mail-list) and the translation of the contents to their mother tongue.

Summary of Partner Tasks: - Provide budget of promotional material and quantities; - Website: provide useful links that can be added to the website, such as organizational sites; - Facebook: Aferdite will confirm the Italian National Agency’s response regarding the presented solution; - Partners should get more involved in the project by sharing both the website and facebook pages, in

addition to adding material, such as: articles, videos, etc. (at least 3 per partner before the Bulgarian meeting)

- Newsletter: Epralima will create a layout/template of the Newsletter and send it all partners; Aferdite

stressed the need to publish two articles in the specific press, i.e. local publications. 2. Aferdite presented the project assessment and overview:

Missing information required for the midterm-report:

The evaluation and monitoring plan - FWC;

Mid-term project evaluation – FWC;

Budget and cost summary to date - all partners;

The materials used and activities carried out to date - all partners.

Aferdite presented a power point presentation about the Mid-term report, required information and defined the following deadlines: Mid-term report to be submitted by the 31st of March; Budget reports to be sent to no later than the 26th of March (template to be sent by Aferdite and must be fill-in by all partners). The coordinating partner is also responsible for inserting all activities, carried out to date, in the mobility tool. Aferdite then spoke about possible dissemination activities and deadlines and asked the partner from Cyprus (FWC) to send the Evaluation Plan before the end of the month because it must be attached to the mid-term report. She also stressed the need to have the evaluation questionnaires finished by the end of the month. In addition, she asked that all partners go over the different questionnaires (meetings, training, workshop, etc), make constructive criticism if they see fit, in other words, provide comments and state whether or not the questionnaire format and situational application is approved. For every meeting or training to have from FWC a questionnaire for participant and 1 for trainers for the evaluation.

3. Identified Good Practices:

The first presentation was presented by Paul (DP - Ireland) who spoke about DP’s initiatives and EU projects: GELP – Co-creative learning process, SDG Challenge, Insight/SDG Advocates, DPTV, Erasmus+ Youth Worker Mobility, DP+ and received funding for a number of Erasmus+ Youth Worker mobility projects associated to GE. Aferdite mentioned that Paul's video could be used as examples and shared on the project’s site. That the video instruction practice could be a good practice activity, the other good practice activity is the public storytelling activity In Paul’s opinion, the activities related to sports are very attractive considering the project’s target-group. Secondly, Céu (Epralima - Portugal) spoke about the state of Global Education (GE) in Portugal and referred to the fact that Portugal has over 30’s years of experience in the field. In Portugal, as well as Ireland, the term used is Development Education (DE) and not GE. She

also referred to some projects that are considered good practices in Portugal, namely those related to AIDglobal (Youth in Politics and Educate to Cooperate) and project’s carried out by Epralima (European Parliament School Ambassador and EURNation, etc.) Ermioni (USB - Greece) spoke of the good practices developed in Greece, namely in Thessaloniki, located in the north of Greece in which most are related to Human Rights. Aferdite (ICSE - Italy) made an introduction to Global Education and emphasized the fact that in Italy this concept is not widely used. In Italy the term used is intercultura, which translate to inter-culture in English. She mentioned the importance of good practice, in which it is necessary to address three levels of work: the 1st- introduce the activity; 2nd identify the activity’s working group and 3rd implementation of the activity in society, for example: Intercultural Library. Aferdite stressed the idea of having:

- Good introduction to the topic by each partner - Introduction to the concept of Global education in your country - Presentation of 2 national/regional/local good practices - Presentation of 2 activities mainly linked to your topic:

o Present the target o Duration o Tools o Describe and specify the tool in your activities

4. C1 Staff Training Event

In reference to the staff training event, Eva (ICDET - Bulgaria) questioned the partners about possible dates for C1, emphasizing the fact that for ICDET it is only possible to organize the event in May, 2018. Most partners did not agree with May, and said that May is not a good month, however Paul (DP) stated that despite the fact that it will be very difficult for DP, the date is not adequate for DP, since collides with two major DP projects. Paul said it was important to keep the date that best suited the majority. He mentioned that he would discuss this in the office and report solutions. But the most appropriate date was May 17-21. He also said that if the date was changed, it would complicate things for ICDET, which will host the event. Therefore, all partners agreed to carry out the event in May, between the 17th and 21st of May. The event will have the duration of 4 days and the number of participants defined per partner is 4 youth workers. Eva also questioned the partner countries about the possibility of sending a facilitator/trainer? Summary of Partner Tasks: - All Partners - check possibility of sending a facilitator; - Select the participants for the C1 Staff training: deadline, April 15, 2018.

5. Toolkit Material

In reference to the toolkit, partners decided to provide examples of activities and to share the toolkit material; introduced some topics to the discussion. Then Eva asked about the date of the next meeting in Bulgaria and all partners agreed on the 12th and 13th of July as a possibility, but there was no confirmation for this date.
