Trouble is his business and business is good. Careerwise, it's definitely "like father, like son" in the Doyle clan: both dad Malachy and son Jake once were cops, and now they're a pair of private investigators. Steering the Church through years of darkness Rome, 1943. The city is occupied by the Nazis. The lives of thousands of Jews are in danger. In Vatican City, a neutral state within the borders of Rome, Pope Pius XII is struggling to save the city from hunger and destruction. Living with her family in the city's Jewish ghetto is the lovely Miriam, who is being courted by two very different young men: the idealistic, well-to-do student Marco, who dreams of glory in combat, and the dashing black-market dealer Davide, who helps his fellow Jews with cunning and trickery. A ballad of undying love Austria in the early 19th century. Archduke Johann, the brother of Emperor Franz II, is visiting his beloved province of Styria. Africa my Home

She grew up far away, but part of her never left… The letter from Namibia brings the news: Hanna's father is dead. What makes it even more shocking is that Hanna thought he had died many years ago. Her mother had always told her what a horrible man he was, and how, when Hanna was three, she left him in Africa and fled with Hanna to Germany. Hanna now learns that she has inherited property in Namibia – and that she has a half-sister, Sumah. Hanna and her husband Andreas immediately fly to the Namibian coastal town of Lüderitz and are greeted anything but warmly: Sumah is furious that she has to share her inheritance with a woman who never once asked about her own father. Misunderstandings abound, yet Hanna does not give up; she wants to know who her father really was. The only person who seems willing to talk to her is Ron, an entrepreneur who offers Hanna and Sumah a vast sum of money for their property on the outskirts of town. A journey into the heart of darkness One day, without warning, Matteo, the teenage son of prosperous industrialist Giovanni Baldassi and his wife Lucia, is gone. Kidnapped? The shy waiter David succeeds in winning the attentions of the young Marie after he pretends to be the author of a novel whose manuscript he found in a junk shop. Until now, David Kern was a waiter and a decidedly unliterary nobody. His only true passion is Marie, who loves literature and seems to be out of reach for him. When David finds the unpublished manuscript of a novel in a second-hand night table, it seems to be his only chance to get Marie's attention ... Marie's reaction is more than he ever hoped for. Five men in search of love and happiness in a time when men aren't really sure anymore what it means to be a man, and what women expect of them. Five prototypes of the male species have turned a Berlin gym into an experimental terrain for friendship, fitness and frustration, a kind of demilitarized zone where love is analyzed, dissected, deconstructed and sweated out of every pore. Jerome is the alpha male, oozing self-assurance, his steeled abs literally reaching out for success. He still gets every girl he wants - just not the lucrative contracts in his job as music producer. A young film student seeks to unmask a killer who uses a medieval device to capture the last image seen by a victim at the moment of death. Capturing fear in one single photo is a challenging assignment for any young filmmaker. At the F. W. Murnau Film Institute, whose eerie halls recall the sinister world of Dr. Caligari, promising young student Bruno suddenly begins having horrible visions. Frightened and hoping to find at least one person who will believe him, he turns to Arianna, a fellow student and his closest friend. Together they find the cave that he saw in a vision, and discover a strange, helmet-like device. Back home it is immediately stolen under mysterious circumstances. Bruno discovers that the device is part of an infernal machine constructed according to the plans of a 17th- century scientist, who was obsessed with the idea of reproducing images. the scientist brought to light that by killing a person and removing his eyeballs, it was possible to reproduce on paper the last image imprinted on that person's retinas.
