God’s anointing is unspeakably precious and valuable, and it is a must-

have in the life of every believer. God promises that we will receive

power after the Holy Ghost comes upon us (Acts 1:8). His anointing

brings power for miracles and blessings, and according to Scripture this

anointing for miracles can be transferred!

road, was subsequently called to be a powerful witness of Christ’s miracle-working power (Acts 9). He had such a strong anointing that even those far away were healed when they were brought “handkerchiefs or aprons” which Paul had touched (Acts 19:12).

Similarly, the anointing on the apostle Peter was so strong that even those touched by his shadow were healed as he passed by (Acts 5:15). It’s not the person or object touched that counts. Frankly, God can use anything He wants to cause miracles to happen! What matters is the person’s faith in our Lord and His power to save and heal.

There are three reasons why it’s so important to me to get these anointed prayer shawls into your hands as quickly as possible:

God has been moving mightily during recent services, and the time I experienced in our studio with the remarkable Nigerian church leader, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, was especially significant.

As we were ministering the Word, the power of God hit and supernatural manifestations swept across the audience beyond anything we’d ever witnessed. The anointing was incredibly strong, and as the service progressed, I knew I had to find a way to pass this anointing on to those in the meeting.

I realized we had hundreds of our Messiah Prayer Shawls there in the building, and I asked for them to be brought in so we could lay hands on them and transfer the powerful anointing onto them.

As these shawls were handed out, the anointing began transferring onto the people who held them. And I knew immediately we needed to lay hands on even more prayer shawls so I could send them to my partners.

But first, I want to help you understand more about the anointing for miracles and this season that we’re experiencing.

The TraNSfer of The aNoiNTiNg

We know it is our Lord’s power that causes miracles to happen, and it is the believer’s faith that accesses His power.

Even in the Old Testament, God used points of contact to bring miracles to His people and usher them into a new level of understanding, faith, anointing, and miracles. The prophet Elijah had a monumental anointing on his life, and as he grew older, God sent Elisha to assist him. When the time came for Elijah to be taken away in a chariot of fire, the younger prophet, Elisha, asked for a double anointing. The symbol of the remarkable transfer of the anointing was Elijah’s mantle, or cloak, that Elisha received (2 Kings 2).

In all four of the New Testament gospels, we see Jesus performing miracle after miracle. The woman with the twelve-year issue of blood was healed when she touched the hem and fringes of Christ’s garment (see Matthew 9:21-22). When she reached out to touch his tallit, she was not only reaching out in faith to Jesus but also connecting with God’s Word and His anointing! Jesus Himself said, “Thy faith hath made thee whole” (verse 22). It was her faith, and His prayer shawl was the contact point!

And the apostles carried the anointing Jesus transferred to them before He ascended into heaven. They were able to perform miracles as a result of that transfer. They in turn laid hands on others to transfer their anointing.

The Torah gave the command to wear “fringes” on the corners of a four-cornered tallit, especially during prayer (Numbers 15:38-39).

Today, you can literally cover yourself with the Hebrew tallit in beautiful white with distinctive blue stripes and metallic gold accent threads. The neckpiece features the prayer (written in Hebrew), “Blessed are You, O Lord, King of the universe, who has fulfilled all of the law through Jesus the Messiah and has covered us with His righteousness.”
