Pre and Post Natal Aquatic Exercise ClassExercise Class is one of the best activities you can do to promote wellness for you and your baby. It can improve your strength, endurance and overall body tone. Participants typically experience quicker recovery times, while their babies often have higher Apgar scores.

Medina offers a Prenatal/Postpartum Aquatics Exercise program specifically designed for mothers-to-be and new moms. Classes are held in a fun and exciting atmosphere, while being instructed by a certified prenatal and postpartum instructor on the Medina Hospital Rehabilitation staff.

Meeting the Unique Needs of Mom and BabyThe Family Birthing Center offers private birthing suites in a comfortable, home-like setting. Each is equipped with today’s advanced medical equipment to meet your every need. A centralized nursing station allows nurses to provide more personalized care to moms and babies. One aspect that everyone appreciates is that moms stay in the same room until they’re discharged, even for cesarean deliveries.

We offer mothers a feeling of security with board certified obstetricians and a registered nursing staff with over 400 years combined experience. Physicians and nurses work collaboratively on your care. Often the same team follows the patient through labor and delivery – a feature that other hospitals cannot provide.

Should an emergency arise, a Level 1 nursery is available and a neonatalogist is on-call 24-hours a day. This combination of private birthing suites, a high nurse-to-patient ratio, our personalized care and security to protect your baby are important in providing a positive birth experience.

Cyber NurseryEach day, Medina Hospital welcomes family members, friends, co-workers and admirers to our Cyber Nursery so they can get a firsthand view of our special deliveries.

With the parent’s consent, each baby’s photo is posted on the Cyber Nursery 24-hours after delivery. As a complimentary service, each newborn’s photo is available for viewing and downloading for two weeks. It’s just one more way Medina is bringing families together.
