• Redundancy improved• Fully redundant server configuration • 2nd server: “near real time” mirroring - “hot swap”
• Several performance problems• Software reached limit for some types of updates
• Sub-optimal use of hardware by the software
– Hardware tuned to the maximum– DB software tweaked– New performance features added
