Polyacrylamide is coagulant removing impurities from drainage and used at wastewater treatment facilities.

Liquid oxygen and liquid argon are used in iron manufac-turing and welding, while liquid nitrogen is used in the ma n u f a c t u r i n g o f s em i c o n d u c t o r s a n d f o r low-temperature transportation.

EL nitric acid, EL sulfuric acid, EL ammoniac liquor, EL mixed acids and similar high purity electronics chemicals are liquid chemicals that are utilized in the manufacturing of LCD displays as well as of washing agents used in the manufacturing of semiconductors.

This coloring agent is used in the color filters of LCD displays.

Functional color materials include coloring materials for ink jet printers and pigments used in digital camera printing.

These bead-shaped resins are indispensable in the production of ultra-pure water, which is used in large quantities at nuclear power plants and in the manufac-turing of semiconductors.

BPDA is a raw material used in the manufacturing of polyimide resin, one of the super engineering plastics. It is used in the critical parts of many electronic informa-tion products such as cell phones.

BPA is a raw material in the production of polycarbonate resin.

Polycarbonate resin is used in CDs, DVDs and automo-tive parts.

Synthetic silica is utilized in optical fibers and silica glass products used in the manufacturing of semicon-ductors.

Responsible Care (“RC”) is an international initiative based on self-determination and self-policing of participating businesses that manufacture or handle chemical substances.Through this initiative, cleaner environment and stakehold-ers’ safety are guaranteed throughout the product life cycle from the development of chemical substances through manu-facturing, distribution, final use and disposal.Under the common general rules of the International Coun-cil of Chemical Associations (ICAA), RC initiatives are implemented by each country’s chemical industry associa-tion on an individual basis in response to the state of affairs in particular country or region. Currently, RC initiatives are being pursued in many countries throughout the world. In Japan, RC initiatives coincided with the establishment of the Japan Responsible Care Convention (JRCC) in 1995. MCC has been a participating member since the foundation of JRCC, fulfilling a leading role in the initiatives.
