IT real estate in India

• According to NASSCOM, the ITES/BPO industry in India is experiencing its third wave of growth.

• In the first phase, the industry was dominated by captive centers of large multinationals such as GE, American Express and Swiss Air, who set up operations in India.

• In the second phase, the growth attracted numerous entrepreneurs (in many cases, employees of multinationals who quit their jobs to set up their own ITES ventures).

• The third phase is geographically dispersed with new locations emerging on the horizon.

• The trend has been largely driven by four factors:

The need for business continuity planning,

Improvement in key infrastructure areas

The desire by state governments to attract investments

The need for ITES companies to lower operating costs

Page 21: Mittal Infratech Pvt. Ltd · Mittal Infratech Pvt. Ltd ... • Findings • Suggestions • Conclusion Presentation structure ... 50,000 persons with best of HR policies

• Apart from Bangalore, a majority of IT/ITES activity in India is concentrated in seven cities/clusters in India

• Delhi-NCR has the largest cluster of IT companies in the country after Bangalore and it has also been the fastest growing market in the last three years.

• Delhi NCR is the leading market for ITES in the country with the largest concentration (over 20%) of all BPOs and KPOs in the country.

• Mumbai and Hyderabad follow closely, but the comparatively superior infrastructure and quality of developments in Delhi NCR has ensured dominance and will continue to ensure its phenomenal growth.

of the most popular destination for IT and ITeS industry. The Company can plan to capitalise on this by developing a SEZ which will have the best and the latest facilities offered anywhere else in the country along with an environment most conducive for this business.

• The Company can engage a specialized agency to market the SEZ globally, highlighting the salient features of the proposed SEZ as well as the incentives offered to SEZ units in general

• Awareness of the project can be created through subtle means. Interest in the zone can be generated through news item, press coverage and formal launches in various cities using multi – media interactive presentations and computer generated walk–throughs.

• Awareness can also be created through industry associations and through industry programs, presentations, seminars etc.

• Large international corporations and potential users can be directly approached and the website of the zone can be provided for online leasing of space at the zone.

Page 30: Mittal Infratech Pvt. Ltd · Mittal Infratech Pvt. Ltd ... • Findings • Suggestions • Conclusion Presentation structure ... 50,000 persons with best of HR policies

Conclusion • In view of the growing exports of the country, success of the SEZ

scheme and the popularity, proximity and connectivity of Panipat to Delhi, marketing of the project is not seen as a difficulty.

• There is no SEZ in the area and there is sufficient demand potential for space for IT and ITeS.

• Promoters have first mover advantage and can easily market the project by keeping key marketing factors for the project as its state-of-the-art infrastructure and completely self sufficient developed structure.

• The promoters have vast experience and understanding of the international market as they have been associated with Export and Import of various commodities for a number of years.

• Apart from a highly experienced and professional team, the Promoters have, with in the family, highly qualified technocrats and professionals who can ensure the successful implementation of the SEZ project.
