Basics of Magic Magic Schools – There are 9 magic high schools present in Japan. 1 St , 2 nd , and 3 rd  Schools accepted 200 students while the remainder accepted 100. 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd  Schools had an education curric ulum superior to the remaining schools and were divided into Course 1 !ic"named #looms$ and Course 2 !ic"named %eeds$. Though the curriculum remained the same &etween courses, instructors were onl' present (or those in Course 1, ma"ing Course 2 students act more as sel()stud' students. Since the schools are heavil' talent)oriented, there is a general discrimination held (or Course 2 students. 10 Families – The 10 (amilies are the most power(ul magic (amilies in Japan and the true power in the nation. *ach (amil' holds a num&er within their name and, due to hereditar' (actors, t'picall' houses power(ul magicians. The &asic pathwa' (or magic)processing is collection o( the -aria&les i.e. location, velocit', weight...$, collection o( the *uation i.e. /ncantations$, Solving o( the *uation sing the -aria&les to guide the *uation$, and +ctivation o( the magic. + C+ is a device which acts to augment a magic technicians a&ilit' &' essentiall' eliminating the Solving o( the *uation. + technician learns the magic *uation &e(orehand and inputs it into the C+. The technician then inputs the -aria&les into the C+, allowing the C+ to Solve the *uation and +ctivate the magic. regardless o( will. ?is decomposition magic allows him to destro' an' t'pes o( magic and matter. ?is

decomposition magic comes in multiple (orms, &ut due to their destructive a&ilit', it is restricted &' the

militar'. ?e also has another a&ilit' o( currentl' un"nown origin, which is the a&ilit' to perceive magic

pathwa's, which allows him to read magic that have recentl' &een used, detecting people near&', and

reading the activation o( magic. ?e uses this to his advantage &' either sending out sion waves via hisC+$ to &loc" magic or his decomposition magic to destro' a magic &e(ore it has come to (ormation.

Tatsu'a is a student o( @o"one >a"umo, a nin7utsu instructor considered amongst the worlds &est, and a

highl' s"illed close)com&at (ighter. ?e is also a mem&er o( the /ndependent agic #attallion, a secret militar' group which tests new

euipment, and is involved in intel manipulation, and covert operations. ?is ran" is Captain.

?e is a mem&er o( the <4= clan, the >otsu&as, and guardian o( his sister, the candidate to &e the neAt (amil' heir. ?is primar' magic

a&ilit' is regenerationB as a specialied magician, though, he was una&le to per(orm normal magic. ue to this, he was deemed a

(ailure and was eAperimented &' the clan leader, >otsu&a a'a, at a 'oung age. sing her magic, she removed a portion o( his mind

which controls strong emotions and replaced it with a magic)processing device. This allows him to use simple magics without the use

o( a C+, &ut due to his magic specialiation, he still has di((icult' per(orming more compleA spells. #ecause he is a power(ul magical

technician, a gi(ted magical engineer, and relativel' emotionless, the entire (amil' (ears him. The (amil' "eeps him in chec" &' usingi'u"i as a ma"e)shi(t hostage via treating her as the neAt clan)leader candidate.

Tatsu'a is the son o( the president o( DT oa Di&s Technolog'$, the compan' &ehind the most advanced

C+ devices availa&le on the mar"et. ue to his naturall' superior intellect, he is used &' his (ather as the

leader o( C+ research. Tatsu'a releases his discoveries under the name <Silver= and is the engineer in

charge o( the so(tward &ehind the <Silver Taurus= series o( C+.

3 magicians amongst the 1st 'ears and pro&a&le heir to the >otsu&a (amil'. She is a mem&er o( the Student

Council and eventuall' &ecomes -ice)resident. She is eAtremel' devoted to Tatsu'a, as he saved her (rom

some currentl' uneAplained incident a (ew 'ears prior to the start o( the stor'. nli"e her &rother, she can

use all (orms o( magic, her specialt' &eing ice. The true eAtent o( her a&ilities is currentl' un"nown. Di"e
