The sky is the limit for imagination and engineering as ICT Trainer Lucinda Hill takes participants on a journey into outer space using the latest robotic technology. Get ready to launch. SONGWRITERS LIVE WITH KAV TEMPERLEY EXCLUSIVE TO MLC Suitable for 12 years and above with Intermediate music skills. Back by popular demand- Kav Temperley, front-man and songwriter of multi award winning band Eskimo Joe. Kav will use his internationally recognised talents to encourage participants to embrace their song writing aspirations as they write and record an original song using the latest facilities and equipment. DANCE – MONSTER-MENTOUS MOVES! No previous dance experience necessary. Be part of dance innovation, a brand-new version of Frankenstein. Co3 Australia’s professional dancers build on a contemporary foundation incorporating hip hop and musical theatre to create a wonderful collaboration with new friends. COOKING ACROSS THE CONTINENTS WITH BRENDAN MURPHY – CHEF EXPLORER Suitable for participants 10 years and above. Chef Explorer Brendan Murphy has worked as a Chef worldwide for over 20 years and taught Cookery for the last 15 years. Brendan can’t wait to share his knowledge as he encourages students to create unique dishes and learn international techniques. Send your taste buds to Greece, Vietnam, Japan and India. SCINTILLATING SCIENCE No previous experience necessary. Four days of non-stop science predictions, experiments and interpretations. Join MLC Science specialist Danielle Wright to discover the depths below the sea, examine cool bodily systems, sample the Swan River, marvel over the northern lights, cook in a solar oven and bounce into explosions. ART WITH ATTITUDE Let your imagination run wild with these crazily creative days. Participants will be guided with passion and enthusiasm by MLC staff member Liz Bozsa, who is a Fashion Design and Fine Art graduate with a major in Photography. Capture nature through a lens, try your hand at snazzy sculpture, break out bright hues with watercolour painting and return to school with the perfect personalised pencil case. ‘I loved this course, I learnt so much, it was challenging but so much fun I never wanted to go on breaks...’ October 2017 Participant.

LIGHTS, SOLAR, ACTIONAM It’s getting hot in here – cook an egg in your own specially designed solar oven. PM How do the northern lights work? Explore crazy colours and their components.

UNDER SEA ADVENTUREAM Dive into the ecology of the beautiful Great Barrier Reef, its glory and its challenges. Complete the morning with a fascinating fish dissection. PM Swan River exploration. Step into the shoes of an environmental scientist as you take samples from the river, bring them back to the laboratories for analysis. What will you discover?

BOUNCE INTO ERUPTIONS AM Carefully consider the design process and the science behind the bounciest ball of all. PM Explore eruptions, from a scientific angle by making a volcano then finish the day engrossed in the phenomenon that is elephant’s toothpaste.
