NLIS Moving and selling sheep and goats: using the NLIS Mob-based Database Mob-based Movement Checklist How do I record a MBM? You must record a MBM when: • Moving sheep or goats to a property with a different Property Identification Code (PIC) • Moving sheep or goats to an agistment property • Buying sheep through Auctions Plus • Buying sheep privately, including rams; or • Lending animals out as lawn mowers. You do not need to record a MBM when; • Moving sheep or goats to a property with the same PIC • Buying or selling through a saleyard or public auction • Sending sheep or goats to a feedlot or abattoir • Sending sheep or goats to an export depot; or • Taking sheep or goats to a show, field day or sporting event, and bringing them home again. 1. Set up a database account at www.nlis.com.au 2. Log on with your user name and password 3. Select sheep (mobs) 4. Select Mob-based movement onto/off PIC; and 5. Enter details.
