technologies

EP is a research and innovation centre: a space in which SMEs, Research Bodies and start up companies share services and equipments, join for new initiatives and develop new projects.

In 2002, Environment Park S.p.A., set up a laboratory based on hydrogen technologies called Hydrogen System Lab (HySyLab). Today, the Lab is recognized as a centre of excellence in this field and works as a coordination centre of the Piemonte Hydrogen System.

Hydrogen and FC activities – The strategy

The regional strategy to promote the development of H2 and FC technology has been conceived following threemain streams:

and FC activities – The strategy R&D and demonstration projects Technology transfer and innovation activities Networking and connection with framework

programs

R&D and demo projects – Urban mobility

EU funded projects:

R&D and demo projects:stationary and early markets

EU funded projects:

Hydrogen production and distribution

Hydrogen generation via anaerobic digestion of organic materials

Clean hydrogen generation via electrolysis from minihydropower plant

Urban refueling station up to 350 bars

Technology Transfer and innovationThe hydrogen cluster SPH2

Technology Transfer and innovationThe hydrogen cluster SPH2

More than 100 SMEs (out of 500) audited to scout the potential interest to enter the sector23 “not H2-related” companies involved into demo projects connected to components40 companies joined the recently launched regional INNOVATION POLE on Hydrogen and FC

Networking

Networking A chance to leverage local efforts

Regional investments integrated with EU programs to complete the funding framework allowing wider resultsPooling of procurement as a key factor to foster the deployment of vehicles (Bus Alliance for public transportation)Lombardia and Piemonte Hydrogen Partnership (LPHP) wants to be candidate to host in Southern Europe aLarge Demonstration Project on Hydrogen and FC mobility
