In order to improve the HSDPA throughput the Average CPICH EcNo is being

improved increasing the CPICH Power where it can be done. Quality in the RNC

    is expected to be improved

Improvements in Avg CPICH EcNo still have not impacted an

    Inter-RAT Ho Rate (%)

Since the first iteration, a relevant less percentage of calls are being

diverted to 2G. Therefore, the CS and PS traffic in 3G is being increased

    PS Drop Call Rate (%)

PS R99 DCR has increased (from around 0.78% to 0.92%). But the PS R99 calls are around

23% to 25% of the total. HSDPA calls are around 75% of the total then, and the HSDPA DCR

has improved a lot there (from around 1.2% to 0.9%). So overall, we are in a much better

    situation.

    Conclusions and next steps

More traffic is being handled in 3G More HSDPA traffic (total and compared to R99) is

being served which creates a better user experience

HSDPA DCR is being improved Avg CPICH EcNo is trying to be further improved so

this has a direct impact in the quality and therefore

    HSDPA throughput

A manual approach is not possible for this (e.g.increase CPICH in all the cells) as this will increase

    the interference
