Reverse EngineeringReverse Engineering

mObridge products are built by ‘reverse engineering’ factory systems.

In order to reverse engineer any system, first we need to get hold of one so that we can view the source code. Often there are many different models of system for the same vehicle type, which can cause some unforeseen compatibility issues.

mObridge ‘Vehicle Compatibility’ lists, are what we are sure will work with our products. Vehicles that fall outside of these lists are often not compatible and would require a new software rebuild based on ‘reverse engineering’ that particular vehicles system software. THIS IS NOT A FAULT OF THE PRODUCT, nor is it a warranty issues!

Although we do update software to incorporate new vehicle compatibility and fix potential bugs, the updating of any products already outside of the mObridge premises is not a warranty issue.

We recommend the distributor to update all available software releases to incorporate the latest vehicle compatibility.
