Inspired by fields of poppies blooming in California, Poppy Mae mixes gloriously vibrant color with the fine detail of drawings from a botanical sketchbook. When Robin Pickens thought about what to draw for

her Spoonflower Creat8 for Moda Contest submission, she chose to draw these poppies as a tribute to the mother who has always been her biggest cheerleader in pursuing her passion for art.

Vivid red mixes with pink, green, black and ivory in a sumptuous large-scale poppy print. An assortment of hand-drawn prints complete a collection that is perfect for quilts, home décor and accessories.

It’s not just another walk in the woods for this brother and sister. Who knows what furry little creatures might be hiding just around the corner? It’s always an adventure making their way through the forest for this fearless duo.

The Hansel and Gretel fairytale was inspiration for this col-lection. From the cute little woodland creatures to a house made out of candy, this collection is inspired by the myster-ies that can be found in the woods, real and imaginary. Pink and green were used for the collection to convey a boy and girl collection with browns and creams to add warmth to the collection.

Just Another Walk in the Woods would be great for a chil-dren's room or nursery. Quilts, bedding, diaper bags, purses, pouches and girls’ clothing. There are a lot of great solid prints that would also be great for home furnishings and kitchen.

A just as pretty-as-you-please attitude paired with practi-cality chronicles the modern-day “glamper”. From her stirrup-ready boots to her bandana – a combination

hair-scarf, necktie, campfire hot-pad, and emergency coffee filter – “glampers” are adored in curlicues, polka dots, lacy motifs, paisleys and their celebrated emblem, the Compass Rose. MaryJane Butters’ Caravan Roundup do-si-dos the hard-working paisley with lacy lace and a compass rose, giving curtsey to the gloriously-girly curlicue.

MaryJane's Facebook group, Glampers on the Loose, has tens of thousands of members who generously share photos of their glamping décor ideas. Their projects and designs are so numerous, it reads like ticker tape. Caravan Roundup pulls together their best-loved favorites.

recently visited Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks with my children and husband, and I was once again drawn to the patterns in the bark and the light filtering through the trees. Summer is our favorite season. We know… the Colorado landscape is awash in beautiful color in the fall, and the weather

is perfect. There’s also nothing like a foot of winter snow on Christmas. And everything is new again in the spring. But summer, with its hot days and cold lemonade has always been the time we love best.

It might be the Fourth of July that makes summer so special. Freedom celebrates everything we love about summer – we think Independence Day is the best holiday of the year. We love everything Red, White and Blue, and we put our special spin on the color palette with a little Khaki mixed in. As always, we’ve put text into some of the prints, from the states in “United” to the pledge in “Alle-giance”. That one has special meaning to us.
