Thrust bearing will installed on either pump or motor.In case of thrust bearing being installed on pump, anti-friction bearing or tilting pad bearing will be used.

・ Self-contained oil lubricated antifriction bearing forstandard applications.

・Tilting pad thrust bearing for high thrustapplications.

Water filling is required at the first time of operation, also this bearing is used for submerged portion (bowl caseinternal).There are a lot of supply experiences and it is of high reliability.

Medium-lubricated, i.e. no lubricant supply system, no water pollution, no monitoring, no external piping,no valves,no filter.

By adjusting blade opening to infinite stage, water flow and head can be achivedand acordingly it makes energy-saving.There are hydraulic type and mechanical type for variable pitch blade pump.The pump can be started with impeller set at minimum opening, which faciliatesstarting with small starting torque.Operation near best efficiency point makes effective against cavitation.

H-Q curve, System curve "R",and B.H.P.curve "L" are shown asleft.Pump operating point will be thecrossing point of H-Q curve andSystem curve "R".B.H.P. will be the point on theB.H.P. curve corresponding tothe point on the operatingcurve.B.H.P. shown as oblique lineswill be reduced.
