PC Hardware Requirements
[ SOFTWARE INSTALLATION AND RECOMMENDED SETTINGS ]
TEMS Investigation 12 is designed to run on a standard PC and interfaces
with the connected devices mainly through USB or serial ports.
Processor and RAM requirements are strongly dependent on what external
devices are connected and what tasks they perform.
Recommended minimum configuration is: Pentium T7200 or AMD TL-58class CPU, preferably with dedicated graphics card from ATI or nVidia; 1 GB
RAM.
Note that it is not advisable to collect data with more than one device, or to
collect data in an LTE or HSPA network, using this configuration.
All details regarding hardware requirements can be found in the Getting
Started Manual section 4.1.

Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 (not included in Windows XP).
Microsoft DirectX 9.0c required for video streaming measurements.

Installing TEMS Investigation
Administrator rights are required toinstall TEMS Investigation.
Install from CD following the on-screen
instructions.
If installation does not start automatically,
run the file SetupTEMSInvestigation12.0.exe Default installation folder:
C:\Program Files\Ascom\TEMSProducts\TEMS Investigation 12.0.

Installing Device Drivers
Device drivers are delivered on aseparate CD.
Unpack ZIP archive in the following
folder:
C:\Program Files\Ascom\TEMS
Products\TEMS Investigation 12.0.
HASP SRM driver is installed
automatically along with TEMS
Investigation.

device drivers can be found in the
Getting Started Manual Chapter 6.

Network license HASP SL, install HASPdriver in license server machine and
apply license to license server.

TEMS Investigation Computer Diagnostics
TEMS Investigation 12, December 2010, Ascom
Evaluates current status of the PC.
Determines how well it is prepared
for running TEMS Investigation.
Performs the following:
Checks several PC settings that havesignificant impact on TEMS Investigation
performance, particularly regarding data
collection.
Checks hardware capabilities (processor
and RAM), and matches them against
the requirements of TEMS Investigation.
It is launched automatically after the
installation of TEMS Investigation.
