Located at Western part of Dhaka city, Mohammadpur is one of the crowded areas of Dhaka. There are many slums in Mohammadpur area name as Sunibir, Shekhertek, Adabor, Nobodoy, and Nabinagar. Mohammadpur is located immediately adjacent to the affluent areas of Dhanmondi and beside the embankment of the Turag River. BRAC is working in Mohammadpur area to improvise dwellers financial security by microfinance programme, Education programme and health condition of slum dwellers, particularly in terms of improving Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health hazards by Manoshi project. BRAC began its activities in Mohammadpur in 1997 through microfinance programme and has now extended. m-Health (mobile health) intervention is being piloted to improve quality maternal, newborn and child health services in Mohammadpur. The innovative m-Health platform aims to improve data efficiency, patient care, and emergency management support to ensure quality monitoring and evidence-based decision making. Located at Western part of Dhaka city, Mohammadpur is one of the crowded areas of Dhaka. There are many slums in Mohammadpur area name as Sunibir, Shekhertek, Adabor, Nobodoy, and Nabinagar.
