“I was involved in an abusive relationship when I found out I was expecting.I ended the relationship to protect my baby and myself. I agonized about beinga single parent and realized I wanted my child to have more than the life I couldgive her by myself. It was heart-wrenching, but I decided to choose a familyand place my baby in an open adoption. On November 21, 2018, I had a babygirl and put her into the arms of a couple who loves her as much as I do.”
“I am so blessed that my friend told me about Alpha Center. I know I wouldnot be where I am today without all of their support. My Alpha Center mentor,Courtney, has not only given me guidance and encouragement, but she hasalso led me into a closer relationship with God.”

Kally would be thefirst to tell you thatthe past year has
been a rollercoaster.
Getting to November 21was not easy. Kally hada good friend refer her
to Alpha Center.
Kally and Courtneystill meet regularly
for mentoringappointments.
This yearMother’s Day hastaken on a new
meaning for Kally.
Despite the nerves we both felt meeting for the first time, Kallyand I connected immediately. We were both from small towns,had similar upbringings and endured a life-changing experiencedue to a toxic relationship. She is genuine and sweet, and I amstill inspired by her story!
We came together at a very difficult time in Kally’s life, and Iwanted her to realize that her situation was NOT the end of herstory. God was going to redeem her, restore her, and bringglory to His name despite the challenging circumstancesshe was facing.
It is a joy being Kally’s mentor! I am also incrediblygrateful to the Alpha Center staff who arrangeour mentoring appointments–understanding theimportance of healthy relationships, encouragement,and support during times of crisis in one’s life.
