Let it Snow!It’s cold outside! Maybe there will be snow. How about we create our own? Join us and learn how to make snow in your kitchen from two simple ingredients, plus enjoy a special reading of the delightful The Snow Wombat written by Susannah Chambers.

Wind StreamerScientists use tools to observe and predict the earth’s weather. Create your own tool to measure wind direction and speed using a paper plate and streamers.

A Chilling Winter’s TaleWe want you to help write Goldfields Libraries’ first Junior Fiction novel. All you have to do is read the story so far and then add your own spin to the story. Anything from 20 to 300 words will be considered and all contributors will receive a copy of the book.

How to start writing fiction, journals or just for fun!Writer Caitlin McGregor will inspire and teach you how to get started writing – be it journalling or the next great Australian novel!

This workshop will be interactive with questions welcome.

Cartooning in the time of CoronaJoin author and illustrator Trace Balla to mark this time through story, cartoon style! Trace will share her new cartoon story Bubble Time and show you how to create your own.

Caitlin McGregor is a local essayist based in Castlemaine, with work published in a range of magazines and literary journals. In 2018 she was a judge for the John Marsden & Hachette Australia prize for Young Writers, and has worked as an editor, submission reader and creative writing tutor.
