MPA NewsNewsletter Question: I make the newsletter on Word. If I send it in word, the formatting goes all crazy, so I save it as a pdf. BUT, when I do that, the links aren’t live anymore. Do you know how I can retain the formatting but still have live links? Please advise! I need some expertise here!

SB 357 Amendment – Guns Public HearingTuesday, March 13, 9-2 Visibility and Public Hearing; Guns don't belong in our elementary and high schools. Join advocates for public safety and children as we greet lawmakers at 9:00 am then provide testimony at 10:00 am during a public hearing on an amendment to SB 357 which would clarify that schools in New Hampshire absolutely can and should enforce gun free school zones. Federal law prohibits students from bringing firearms into our schools, but state politicians have muddied the waters on whether school officials and local law enforcement can prevent others from bringing guns into our elementary and high schools. Save the date to attend this critical hearing, then check back here in the coming days for suggested talking points and petition links. Please share widely - especially with school administrators, law enforcement, educators, students, and youth!

SB 193 – School VouchersIt’s time to call or write your representatives to protest SB 193! This nasty bill would mandate that local property taxes subsidize private schools and homeschooling. Please refer to this document for info: https://anhpe.org/2018/03/04/its-time-to-call-and-write-your-representatives-about-sb-193-the-statewide-voucher-bill/

HB 1772 – Online Voter RegistrationAs New Hampshire looks to more secure and modern elections, OVR is a key step. NH is falling dangerously behind since 37 other states have OVR. Let the Legislature know we should be finding ways to improve secure, modern registration processes. The Vote is expected March 15 in the House.

HB 1680, 1721, 1787, and 1707 – Abortion related billsThese horrors will be voted on this week but I don’t know the days or times. Check out the ACLU’s website for more information
