Nov 27th. Fed Square. 30 cars participated. A good day enjoyed by the members and the public despite the inclement weather.

20th Nov. Rotary Festival of Wheels. Moorabin Airport. A quiet event heralded this first intro at the airport.
25/27th Nov. Geelong Revival. Motoring Festival. The 60th year which caters for both old and more modern cars. And now introducing a hillclimb. One member reported a HK in a time trial.

Display Cars. (Rare Spares Voucher for members cars)
Geoff who previously demonstrated his two door Caprice, (now sold), brought in his latest acquisition, a 2003 series 2 CV8. Purchased from a dealer, 5.7l, auto and with 154000kms. He also received a bonus of extra instruments in the central binnacle from the dealer. He advised that it is a pleasure to drive, with no faults.
General Business:
1.History of the MCoV: There is a proposal to write a History of the Monaro Club of Victoria, and to provide both printed and video versions. We are looking for Members to assist, particularly anyone with video shooting and editing expertise. We would also welcome help in sourcing equipment (camcorder, tripod, editing clobber – particularly anything that someone might be prepared to donate!). Contact Steve Kane (VP), or Phil Blake (Sec). All offers of assistance and suggestions most welcome.
2. A reminder to all members on CH plates. For all your correspondence to Paul Black address is PO BOX.5330 Clayton. 3168. For any other correspondence the usual PO address of Dandenong is applicable.
3. For any members wishing to share their stories about their Monaro, contact the committee and have your own history published on the web page.
4. At the last committee meeting it was decided to retire the Roger Jarman award. A new award Named after Jean Currie is being instituted. The Barry Methven award also remains.
5. A reminder to members to respond to the email calling for nominations for the 2017 committee. In the email there is a button to click on that takes you to our 2017 nomination form.
6. The website is now being used for online voting and membership processes. Due to Its increased sophistication other formats and processes will become apparent.
7. One member raised the idea of purchasing car tyres as a bulk/group and saving on what appears to be a considerable mark up in this country. Further discussions are to take place with the committee.

Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix Club Display
23rd - 26th March 2017Expresions of Interest are being sought after for this
years Grand Prix Auto Avenue Displays. Limited to 20 Cars. $30 per vehicle.
Each vehicle receives 2 credentials for the entire weekend allowing the driver/owner plus a friend to
come along. (Credentials are 4 day general admin passes for the event as well as allowing early entry into the venue
each day to clean cars up or take covers off etc)
Bump in Wednesday before 6pm, Bump out Sunday after the end of the 2017 Australian Grand
Prix This year AGPC are running 'Best Car Club Display' & 'Best Car on Display' and will be giving away 10
'Pit Lane Walks for two' AGPC would like the EOI back by the 13th of Jan.

Cruise to Arthurs SeatSunday 22nd January
Meeting point Penninsula BP service station (just past Baxter) 9:30am, Departing at 10am to head to
Arthur's Seat "the Eagle" chairlift.
Going in the chairlift (those who chose to) for a coffee break at the summit before returning to
our cars. A scenic drive to follow, heading through Arthur's seat, Main Ridge & then Rosebud,
BBQ at ours for those wishing to join us (away from the maddening crowd)

Monaro Display Day Nationals Water Sports Centre
5th MarchSeacraft Syndicate Boat Owners Club have invited
the MCV for a display of Monaro at the National water sports centre on 5th March 2017 from 10am
till 5pm .Cars will be parked on grassed area in front of boat storage building situated on the levy
bank facing the water. Entrance to the lake is via Riverend Rd Bangholme.
This display is free to Club members and a great chance to see some Holden powered classic timber
boats do their stuff, There will be skiing and boat events all day, even come and see Noel Palmer for a chance to have
blast in one of the boats. Parking for 30 plus Monaros, great day out.
