4th QUARTER MISSION PROJECT – The mission of Martin Luther College is to train a corps of

Christian witnesses who are qualified to meet the ministry needs of the Wisconsin Evangelical

Lutheran Synod (WELS) and who are competent to proclaim the Word of God faithfully and in

accord with the Lutheran Confessions in the Book of Concord. MLC also offers professional growth

opportunities and synod certification for called workers who are already serving in the ministry.

The Congregational Partner Grant Program (CPGP) was implemented for the 2016-2017 academic

year to allow congregations to provide assistance to students attending MLC. When a congregation donated to the program to support incoming freshman with up to $1000 per student, their funding would be matched by MLC. During the second year of the the program, it was expanded to include

sophomore students as well. During th first year of the program 78 churches participated. In 2017-18 the number has risen to 145. This year 239 first-year and/or sophomores received grants. Please join with us as we support our future teachers and pastors.

The students and faculty of Martin Luther College thank you for your prayers and for your continued support in educating future WELS pastors and teachers.

Future Freshman Night @ KML - Tuesday, April 17, 7:00 PM

We will be holding our Future Freshman Night on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:00 PM in our Performing Arts Center. This evening is an opportunity to share important information about the transition to KML in preparation for the upcoming school year. If you have any questions, feel

free to contact Principal Jamie Luehring ([email protected]).

April 29 Celebration- On Sunday, April 29, 2018 the congregation will be

celebrating 175 years (1843 -2018) of Christian Education.

This means there will be a special service at KML (10:15) with 3K-Gr. 8 students singing and Jr. Handbells playing, a fellowship lunch to follow, and a musical program performed by the school children. We would like everyone to

join us on this special day, as we celebrate 175 years of Christian Education.

Because the school children will be singing in the service and presenting a special musical program

for the congregation after lunch, we would ask that all school children (Kindergarten-8th grade) be in attendance for the service and program. (Student excused absences for the afternoon musical must be sent to their teacher by March 23, but please plan to have your children here for the

service.) Mark this date on your calendar and plan on being there.

Because the school children will be preparing for and presenting this program, there will

be NO School Musical at the beginning of May. The upper grade musical will continue next year.
