United by their love of music, over 350 elementary through high school students from southeast Michigan come together each week to fulfill their desire to deepen their musical experience.
Through our four-tiered orchestra program, we teach, guide, and foster musical growth in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.

Dear Students, Parents, and Families of the IA Music Program,
This time of year it is natural to steal those few quiet moments to reflect on all that has gone by. For the IA music program it has certainly been a tremendous amount. With the introduction of Dr. Wang, a series of fantastic October concerts, numerous students earning positions in local, state, and national honors ensembles, and of course the daily hustle and bustle of a vibrant music program, it has already been quite a fall.
It is also fitting this time of year to reflect in a spirit of thanksgiving. Firstly, to the music boosters who have done and continue to do so much for our students. Fundraising, spirit wear, event planning, concert recording—their influence on our program is profound, and for that we thank you! Please consider getting involved, as we truly need more parents to aid in the work of the organization. Currently many individuals on the board are heading up multiple projects, so there is definitely room for more hands to make lighter work.
We also thank those of you who have given so generously to our organization. Your financial contributions make possible the excellent work our Boosters do, and fund guest teachers, instruments, scholarships, music purchases, and more items which greatly exceed the budget provided by our school. If you have not given, please consider making your tax deductible donation to the International Academy Central Campus Music Boosters (IACCMB) before year’s end. We are currently noticeably below our fundraising goals based on years past, and we depend upon your giving to support the needs of a quality music program for the students.

All Students attending will receive an award. If you have earned your Varsity Letter, please complete the International Academy Music Department Varsity Letter Checklist (available at iamu-sicboosters.org under “Forms and Information”) and return it to your Music Director no later than January 13.
