• Bairnsdale 80th birthday celebration August 4. Pres. Jeanette met with Bairnsdale Pres. Gillian Reeve

re planning for the event.

• 3 Members required to help plan Sale’s 90th celebration on or around 19th September, the date of our

Charter in 1928. See Jeanette to volunteer.

Chairman Jeannette introduced our guest speaker, past member

Gerard Callinan, who firstly updated the success of the “Race the

Rubeena” project. The project, with the support of the Rotary Club of

Sale, raised $9000.00 and will happen again on March 17 2019. Wear

your green running shorts!

Gerrard is also seeking support for a new project - to commission community inspired murals on the stanchions

along the river currently being regularly graffitied.

Working with local artist Jeremy Casper and with the support of Vic Roads, Gerard is seeking Rotary support as a

patron and banker for the project. Possible themes are the Swing Bridge Development and Local Indigenous Cultural

history. The board will carefully consider Gerard’s submission.

President Jeanette then outlined her plans for the coming year.

Jeanette has set herself and the Club, a major challenge. It is our role to rise to the occasion and be inspired by

her leadership.

Jeanette further urged all members to complete the survey handed out on the night and

return it to our next meeting. More will be available if you were an apology.
