❖ “Why do you call me good?”

❖ If our evangelistic message fails to reveal God’s goodness and our sinfulness, then it is NOT the gospel.

❖ Do we look on the lost with love?
❖ Why doesn’t Jesus say first, “come and follow me”?
❖ Jesus takes him to the Law
❖ like a mirror to the soul—reveals the inner man
❖ the perfect standard of righteousness

❖ Jesus ALWAYS gave the Law to proud people and grace to the humble
❖ Modern evangelistic methods have this backwards
❖ “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
