His Excellency Ambassador Markus Leitner Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt

Markus Leitner is the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Arab Republic

of Egypt since June 2013. He joined the diplomatic service in 1996 after

completing his studies in economics in Zurich and Fribourg

(Switzerland) and working in the Swiss banking sector. He started his

diplomatic career as an attaché at the Swiss Embassy in Madrid. Back in

Berne, he covered foreign-policy related economic and financial affairs

issues (incl. fight against conflict diamonds, questions related to

politically exposed persons etc). From 2002 to 2006, he was posted at

the Swiss Embassy in Pretoria where he was in charge of Swiss-South

African economic and science relations. In 2006, he was transferred to

the Swiss Embassy in Santiago de Chile where, as deputy head of

mission, he covered the whole range of Swiss-Chilean bilateral issues. In

January 2009, he was appointed head of Peace Policy section at the

Human Security Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign

Affairs in charge of running peace promotion programs in priority

regions and overseeing four thematic areas (mediation, dealing with the past, religion/politics/conflict and

election/conflict). In January 2011, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Human Security Division.

Deputy CIO Emerging Markets & Head Emerging Market Asset Allocation CIO Wealth Management - UBS

Michael heads the Emerging Markets Asset Allocation team at UBS Chief Investment Office. The team sets the allocation for emerging market assets and contributes to the UBS House View for emerging market assets. Michael joined UBS Wealth Management Research in March 2009 as an emerging market analyst. Since 2012, he has been responsible for EM FX and Fixed Income. Prior to joining UBS, Michael started his professional career at the Swiss National Bank in 2003 as an economist. Michael holds a PhD in economics from the University of Basel. Earlier, he studied economics and econometrics at the University of St. Gallen,

where he received his master's degree. He also participated in an exchange program at the WITS Business School in South Africa.

In November 1st, 2014, she was nominated as Managing Director of Social Fund for Development. Since November 1st & till end of January 2016, SFD witnessed an increase of 68% MSE loans to reach aprox. around EGP 5.4 bn & an increase in Public Works & Community Development by 124 % to reach around EGP 1.03 bn. Soha Soliman Graduated from the Faculty of Commerce Cairo University and started her banking career in 1995 joining Egyptian American Bank (affiliate of American Express Bank). In 2006 after being promoted several times, she reached the position of Corporate banking vice president in credit Agricole Bank after this later acquired Egyptian American Bank. Soha was a certified tutor of the credit certificate in the American University in Cairo for Four years starting

2006. In 2008, she joined Audi Bank as Head of Small and Medium Enterprises to start her new challenges with the analysis of the Egyptian SMEs access to finance, challenges, obstacles and suggested solutions . In April 2010, she moved as Head of Small and Medium Enterprises in National Bank of Egypt. (the Largest Bank in Egypt – 100 % government owned), where she increased the SMEs portfolio from EGP 3 bn to EGP 13 bn in 4 years disbursed to around 38.000 clients financed by banks sources in addition to EGP 5 bn credit lines from multinational institutions.
